In our works, we take into account not only the questions about the condition of the projected building after its construction, but also what impact the building and construction will have on the environment and whether the construction of such a building is possible in that area. As a matter of fact, the forecast of change of natural conditions occurring during the construction process is carried out. These changes can influence the operating conditions of the designed building.The simplest example of such an approach is the implementation of the engineering and geological surveys on potentially flooded or already flooded structures. As an eхample we can use the construction of a residential house in a fuel station in St. Petersburg, Russia. During this work the environmental parameters allowed to predict the change in groundwater level.

So if it is necessary, the constructors could estimate the task of protecting buildings from flooding. Also, during the execution of engineering and survey work at the filling station, The important practical question was solved where or not to build the construction pit. Due to the fact that the construction site had limited dimensions, it was originally intended to mount the walls of the excavation. However, our work showed the possibility of building an open pit and the construction proved it. As a result, its cost has significantly decreased.

This example demonstrates that it is not worth saving on engineering and geological surveys.
